Renowned for her meticulous craftsmanship in storytelling, Naznin Hasan Khan has directed a special seven-episode drama series titled Gonok, set to air during the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha. Penned by Rajib Moni Das, the series showcases a talented ensemble cast including A.K.M. Hasan, Moushumi Hamid, Ashraful Ashish, Fahmida Trisha, Masud Mohiuddin, Sayka Ahmed, Masud Rana Mithu, Sujat Shimul, Farid Hossain, and Riki Rafat.
The story follows Aamir, a simple village man who unexpectedly gains fame when his wife presents him as a fortune-teller after he identifies a thief. What begins as a trick soon turns their lives upside down.
Scriptwriter Rajib Moni Das shared that Gonok combines rural realities with humor to offer thoughtful entertainment.
According to production sources, Gonok will premiere on a leading private satellite channel during Eid-ul-Azha.
