Al Masid (Rono) has previously received multiple awards in recognition of creative work in entertainment journalism. These include Television Reporters Unity (TRAB) 2024, Global Star Award 2024, Ali Zaker Award, Baisakhi TV Commemorative Award, etc.
Recently Rono received another award for the best entertainment journalist in the 8th edition of ‘Iconic Star Award 2025’, which is specially known as a star-studded award in Bangladesh.
This event was held yesterday (February 23) at an elite club in the capital. In 2024, the best stars of the entertainment arena as well as the successful people of various fields were awarded Masid Rono received the award from the country’s famous musician Rizia Parveen. Rizia Parveen said at that time, ‘‘I have known Rono for more than 10 years. I have seen how much love and devotion he does his work. Today he got recognition for his talent and dedication. I am proud of him.’’
On receiving the award, Rono said, ‘‘Iconic Star Award always rewards popular stars. I am very proud to join their ranks today and share the stage. I hope this journey of love will continue.’’
Apart from Rono, popular actresses Apu Biswas, Nusrat Faria, Porimoni, Actor Nirab Hossain, Mamnun Hasan Emon, Ziaul Roshan, Actress Tanjin Tisha, Nilanjana Neela, Semonty Soumi, Ahna Rahman, Actor Yash Rohan, Fashion Designer Sanaya Chowdhury, Producer Raihan Rafi, Mohidul Mohim, Model Syed Ruma and many others.were awarded at the ‘Iconic Star Award’ organized in Dhaka this year.

Outside of journalism, he is a theater activist. Besides, he has served as a jury member and media co-ordinator in several prestigious award shows of the country. These include Bangladesh Institute of Film and Arts (BIFA) 2023, Bangladesh Achievers Award 2023 and 2024, Gorbito Baba Sammanna 2023 and 2024 and Bangladesh Green Leaf Cultural Forum (BGCF) Award 2024.
