A malicious group has created a fake Facebook page in the name of playwright Rajib Moni Das (named “Rajib Moni Das”) and is engaging in fraud. The page currently has over 12,000 followers. It contains his personal photos and various news articles from newspapers, making it appear as his authentic Facebook page, but it is entirely fake. This situation has placed Rajib Moni Das in an embarrassing predicament. Thinking about the future, he has filed a general diary (GD) with the police. The GD tracking number is: T6MDIA, and the GD number is: 1729.
Rajib Moni Das stated that he is not responsible for any misleading, defamatory, or provocative posts or memes shared from such fake Facebook pages about politics, religion, the country, public representatives, or distinguished individuals. Hence, he has sought legal recourse. The mobile number displayed on the Facebook page is: 01768-432758, and the page link is (https://www.facebook.com/rajib.director).
Rajib Moni Das further mentioned that such malicious activities are a threat and defamatory to him. Therefore, he has filed a general diary with the police considering the future implications.
It is noteworthy that Rajib Moni Das is currently serving in an organizational position in the Playwrights’ Association.
